  3. INTRODUCTION

  5. Thank you for using the Bible ABC2 program.
  6. This program is part of the Super Bible Kids 
  7. Series software.  The Bible ABC2 program 
  8. teaches children the alphabet through three 
  9. groups of pictures: Bible objects and characters, 
  10. animals, and common objects.  The child will
  11. match the letter that associates with the 
  12. pictures.  As with other Kidvision Software 
  13. programs, the Bible ABC2 program is intended 
  14. to educate young children about the Bible 
  15. through colorful pictures and music.  Kids are 
  16. able to learn the Bible while having fun  
  17. learning to use the computer, with the mouse 
  18. and keyboard to play the games. The selected 
  19. songs are popular Bible songs which are fun 
  20. and easy to learn.

  23. INSTALLATION
  24.  
  25. The program disk comes with an automatic setup 
  26. program that will install the Bible ABC2 game
  27. in your Windows(TM) Program Manager.  The program
  28. comes with its own icons.  After installation, you 
  29. can move the icons to any program group you prefer.  
  30. The default directory for the setup program is 
  31. c:\BibleKid.  If you want to change the directory, 
  32. you are allowed to do so during the setup 
  33. procedures.

  35. To run the setup program, you must follow these
  36. procedures:

  38. 1. Insert program disk into drive a:\ or b:\
  39. 2. At Program Manager, select File and choose Run
  40. 3. Type a:\setup or b:\setup
  41. 4. Then follow the on-screen instructions.

  44. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
  45.  
  46. IBM or compatible computer with a 80286 or faster 
  47. processor.  EGA, VGA or SVGA monitor.  Windows 3.1 
  48. or higher (or Windows 3.0 with multi-media 
  49. extension) with 2 M Byte of RAM memory (min.). A mouse 
  50. is a must. The program will play all sound and music 
  51. through your sound card.

  54. INSTRUCTIONS
  55.  
  56. The Bible ABC2 program is a very user-friendly
  57. program which requires minimal computer knowledge 
  58. to play.  However, children under the age 
  59. of 3 may need to be guided by an adult.

  62.     To start the program
  63.  
  64. At the Windows Program Manager screen, double-click
  65. the Bible ABC2 icon in the Super Bible Kids group.
  66. An introduction screen will come up to display 
  67. several messages and music will be played in the
  68. background.  The main program screen will then be 
  69. displayed.

  73.     To start the game
  74.  
  75. Using the mouse or keyboard, select a letter 
  76. from the alphabet.  The selected letter will be 
  77. displayed in the middle of the screen.  A realistic 
  78. voice will say the letter, followed by five pictures.  
  79. The pictures may all be different or all the same.  
  80. After the pictures have been displayed, the child
  81. will then select the picture that matches the letter
  82. by using the mouse or keyboard.  If a correct
  83. match is made, a realistic voice will say "yes" 
  84. followed by a note of congratulations.  If the 
  85. selection is wrong, a trumpet sound will play, 
  86. followed by a note to ask the child to try again.

  89.     To select another letter
  90.  
  91. Using the mouse or keyboard, the child simply 
  92. select another letter from the alphabet.  The 
  93. picture group will be different for each time 
  94. a letter button is pressed, even if the same 
  95. letter button is selected again.

  99.     To see information about the program

  101. Click the "?" - help button using the mouse or 
  102. press <ALT> <H> using the keyboard.  The screen 
  103. will display the help file about the program.  
  104. You can print this help file using the Windows
  105. Notepad, Write or other compatible programs.

  108.     To stop the music
  109.  
  110. Using the mouse, click the "Stop Music" button.  You 
  111. can also hit the "Enter" or "Space Bar" in the keyboard
  112. to stop the music.

  115.     To exit the program
  116.  
  117. Just click the "Exit" button (Stop sign).  The 
  118. program will return you to the Program Manager.

  121.     To go play other Super Bible Kids games
  122.  
  123. The "Main Menu" button allows you to access other 
  124. Super Bible Kids games.  Click this button and the 
  125. Super Bible Kids main menu will display.  If you do 
  126. not have other games installed, clicking the 
  127. uninstalled game buttons will display a message 
  128. indicating that you have not installed those games.  
  129. (For your information, we are planning more than eight 
  130. games in the Super Bible Kids series.)

  135. If your program is a shareware version, only less 
  136. than half of the picture groups will be activated.  For 
  137. a fully-functional version, call Kidvision Software
  138. to order or print the Register.wri file using the 
  139. Windows(TM) Write program. Attached a check or money 
  140. order with the register form and send it to the 
  141. address below.  Your program(s) will be shipped as 
  142. soon as your order has been received.
